01 — Brief process

Nothing is proposed before the ground is measured.

A short written brief, a plot outline, and three observations. That is enough to open a file and book the site assessment.

The first conversation is not about plants. It is about slope, drainage, and how the light lands across the plot at nine in the morning and again at four. Send what you already know and the gaps are filled on the visit. A firm quote is issued only after that assessment, never from a photograph.

Plot outline
A cadastral extract or a hand sketch with dimensions. Photographs of the four boundaries help more than a wide shot.
Ground conditions
Where water stands after rain, the direction of the fall, and any retaining walls or drainage already in place.
Existing planting
Trees and hedges you intend to keep, and anything you want removed. Note the ones that shade a bed.
Budget range
A working figure in UAH. Published estimates are written as starting points with inclusions and exclusions listed beside each number.

01 / Plot brief

Tell us about the ground before we draw.

A short brief helps us prepare for the site assessment. Include the plot area, the region, and what you have noticed about soil, drainage, slope and light.
